All about the Santiago a Mil 2024

'Santiago a Mil International Theatre Festival' is a huge celebration of dramas, dances, and music that happens every January in Santiago, Chile. It is the largest art festival in Chile, including performances from Chile and several other countries. The festival is developed by a non-profit known as 'Teatro a Mil International Festival Foundation (FITAM)', and it makes sure that everyone in Chile can enjoy good cultural events without getting over budget. It also wants to help theater and art to develop in Chile and let the whole world know about the tradition of Chilean theater. Initially, it was known as 'Teatro a Mil', but in 2005, it got introduced to a new name- 'Festival International Santiago a Mil'.

Ageism & “The Secret Lives of Extremely Old People”

Theatre has traditionally served as a mirror, often challenging and reflecting the assumptions of society. The "Theatre Against Ageism" movement revolves around Rachel McAlpine's play "The Secret Lives of Extremely Old People," which defies age stereotypes by presenting the lives of people who are 90 years of age and older. The play, which just had its highly successful release, allows us to see the many experiences and hidden depths of people who are often overlooked by the society. The overwhelmingly positive response has caused discussions about the lives of our senior citizens that are at times neglected.

Writers’ Workshop Festival at LA

The Center Theatre Group announces Writer’s Workshop Festival 2024!The Los Angeles audiences have the opportunity to watch 6 different and new plays. The Center Theatre Group has given the opportunity to different writers to present their plays at L.A. Writer’s Workshop Festival which will take place from Friday 26th January to Sunday 28th January, 2024. Tickets are available online. The venue for the Festival is Kirk Douglas Theatre. Since 2005 CTG has supported playwrights to present new plays at the workshop.
